As 2022 was the time, the moment, of the installation at the Josefa Mill, it might be legitimate to see how this new migration tends to illuminate the possible 2023 (s). 

If, in its approach, the Josefa Mill wants to think of another way of being together, in the world, another way of welcoming, of gathering our migrations, as human beings and more widely as living beings, there is therefore a time of preparation and discernment which is engaged.

As in Brussels, at the Josefa House, in Walhain, at the Josefa Mill, it is a matter of creating something common without neglecting the singularities of each person in their own or shared environment. In a way, the wheel certainly turns with the force of our humanities, our technicalities, our knowledge, but not... without others and without water.

For it is in our interrelations that our conditions of existence are expressed. Our solidarities can (should) be expressed at the heart of our lives in migration, which are themselves the source of our living relationships. Both our exteriorities and our interiorities live from others. It is indeed in the thought of others, with others, in their real or virtual encounter, in short in the language shared (or not, for that matter, for questions of language: how do we dialogue with a tree, a dragonfly?) according to the living beings we encounter that our being-together is and becomes.

Therefore, thinking in part (the essential escaping human language) about our future together, presupposes/will require radical changes, beyond what some call "transition". For there is no transition, or even rupture, except in the measure of the steps of each individual, of each human and living being.

Habitats, biodiversity, arts or spirituality: the first step of the "Josefa Mill" journey is undoubtedly to take the measure of the (s); as for 2023 (s), everything is open, hopefully.

If the Josefa Mill, and to another extent the Josefa House, is a shared space enriched by our "migration(s)" between living beings, without necessarily crossing geographical boundaries, three essential steps emerge.

Glances. Josefa invites us to perceive, see and think differently about the landscape that appears to us in its diversity of "realities" and "perceptions". An invitation to an exercise in "migration" of the gaze, of my gaze.

Why? Why the Josefa Mill, why the Josefa House? In order to envisage a different way of being. Together, migrating (interiority as exteriority). I am what I am, what I am becoming and not what others decide I am: for example, to see myself qualified as a "migrant" or "non-migrant".

Josefa. A double political and societal proposal. Josefa House and Josefa Mill: another possible way forward in the face of the ultra-conservative/traditional (discriminatory/discriminatory) way in which our itineraries are generally confined to each of us living beings (rather than "the bees", hear each bee distinctly; rather than "the migrants", listen to each of us, in our uniqueness. .... Act differently.

Indeed, what a challenge and how to carry forward an experience of 11 years (Josefa began its adventure in 2011) ... a network of 15,000 people, more than 100 volunteers, more than 140 residents, thousands of visitors, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, concerts ...?

However, since 2011, the question still remains: what renewed vision for our migrations? According to Josefa, the perception of the migratory landscape must change: with each person exercising the freedom of his or her own perception (culture, environment): inclusively according to his or her own path. Every living being/human being remains founded in migration.

The horizon of our migrations: Articulation of thinking, being and acting. Ethics of responsibility in the sense of the Common(s). Liberation from representations (political, media, sociological...).

Each of us, Migrant, in his or her own wheel, "when the time comes" (sometimes ultimately, at the threshold of his or her biological life), does he or she not aspire to "nourish" the whole of our humanities, to take part in another way of inhabiting "the world". A utopia for 2023(s).
